Wolf Trap Children Theatre-in-the-Woods ’12 season features artists from across the country and around the world including Justin Roberts, Elizabeth Mitchell, and more

Children Wolf Trap Theatre-in-the-Woods 2012 season is already on sale with a wide range of performance genres, including rock Kindi, Latin, Afro-Caribbean, the country, folk, jazz, bluegrass, and pop-rock, and Irish dancing, ballet, puppet theater, and musical theater. Thirteen young artists will grace the outdoor stage, nestled in the woods after the Filene Center. Inception include (but are not limited to) Justin Roberts, Jimmie, Elizabeth Mitchell, Eric Brace and Peter Cooper, Aaron Nigel Smith, German puppeteer Matthias Kuchta, jazz band Coal Train railway, and a stroller all players drama . Three audience favorites will return this year: the school of traditional Irish dance Culkin, and pop-rock singer DinoRock Robbie Schaefer, guitarist of the popular Virginia-based Eddie from Ohio and military pop Sirus XM Kids Place live.

New this year, the Theatre-in-the-Woods will feature a day of the performance on Tuesday, Saturday in a new period of 10:30. This new structure is designed to provide children, families and groups, before and after the execution of activities to enjoy in the National Park, and to meet and greet many of the performers.

Performances are recommended for children 4 and older. Ticket prices range from $ 8 to $ 10 and children under two are free. Wolf Trap Children Theatre-in-the-Woods National Park is located within the U.S. only for the arts behind Filene Center. Theatre-in-the-Woods Patrons are encouraged to bring a picnic to enjoy after the show and participate in programs of National Park Service. June 26 & 27: Hot Peas N Butter They include both the English and Spanish with a mixture of jazz, rock, pop and Latin rhythms oppose and Afro-Caribbean.
June 28: Culkin School of Irish dancing of young traditional dancers on stage with a breathtaking display of rapid fire footwork accompanied by energetic rhythms of Celtic music.
29 and June 30: Eric Brace and Peter Cooper Drawing inspiration from the tranquility and beauty of nature, this duo from Nashville is the country’s sweet melodies and charming lyrics of their Grammy-nominated album in 2011, I Love: Tom T. Songs of the Temple of hunger. Fox
July 3: In this interactive production DinoRock, giant puppets created by Emmy Award-winning puppet designer Ingrid color Crépeau offer catchy songs, skits, intelligent, and high-fun dance.
July 5 July 7: Elizabeth Mitchell Smithsonian Folkways Recordings artist Elizabeth Mitchell performs popular classical melodies with her husband and young daughter. Carried by voice deliciously seductive Mitchells, their sweet songs, inspiring you recall the warmth and joy of a sunny day.
July 10 and 11: Railroad Train pulling coal from Nashville, Tennessee, this set takes the hip of children and families in the jazz world delicious and dynamic.
July 12: Aaron Nigel Smith Designed to get kids moving, her performances are high energy, interactive show that invites the audience to jump, play, sing and dance through a collection, songs sumptuous entertainment. Smith is known by Emmy Award-winning PBS Kids show between the Lions.

July 17 & 18: Rani Arbo & Daisy Mayhem Join this dynamic quartet in a unique blend of blues, swing, country, and that includes everything from a ukulele and a bathroom in a box cardboard and a suitcase.
July 19: guitarist Robbie Schaefer of the folk-pop band from Ohio Eddie and radio host Sirius XM Kids Place Live, Robbie Schaefer Songs for Kids to give us a collection of catchy melodies, intelligent and less brazen to take you on a victory through musical styles and colorful arrangements (CD Baby). Sing Cowboy Bob on Chicken Lips and cry.
