Words Today: Museum of the City of New York announced its selection as a finalist in the partner countries conservations in New York in 2012 the program. The two bronze statues that adorn
impressive fa ade book were commissioned and designed specifically for the Museum. Masterpieces have been altered now, created by sculptor Adolph Weinman A. (1870-1952), who was also responsible for the play “Mercury” and “Walking Liberty” half dollar to the U.S. Mint, and friezes for the building of the Supreme Court of the United States. Life-size statues boast of their subjects carefully selected poses. Hamilton looks like he does in a statue belonging direct descendant of Mr. Pierpont M. Hamilton, Clinton and the stately home was designed by Weinman, who wanted a live model dressed in period costumes present, as he carved. Weinman believed already used this technique when he used the silent film actress and popular model Audrey Munson live as inspiration for the half dollar Liberty walk in early 1900.

In honor of the partners in the preservation and evaluation of public support, the Museum will host a weekend open house Saturday, May 5 and Sunday, May 6 with tours of exhibitions, family programs and cream ice-free. Saturday at 10am on site and space planning, a family workshop takes participants on an exploration of urban transport. Sunday 10:00 to 12:00 and afternoon, participants can walk blockbuster exhibition of large networks: Blueprint of Manhattan, 1811-2011, and learn how the city’s road network has evolved over 200 years.
